My name is Gianna Manzi and I am a 17 year old female at Garnet Valley High School. I am currently a junior and looking at my options for my future. I live with my mom, dad, brother (when he is not at college), grandmother, grandfather, and dog. My brother is 3 years older than me and attends University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). He is studying computer science/engineering and loves what he does. On the other hand, I am the complete opposite of my brother. Personally, my interests revolve around sports, animals, and having fun. More specifically, I have a passion for the sport of ice hockey. I am greatly interested in everything it has to offer. I have been playing ice hockey for 4 years now, and it has opened countless doors for me. I enjoy not only playing ice hockey, but also watching and sharing my love for the sport. As far as animals go, I love dogs. Dogs have been there for me my whole life, so I have grown a great bond with them. Recently, I started volunteering at the Providence Animal Center in Media, PA. There, I provide the dogs in the kennels with exercise, making them happy, calmer, and more adoptable dogs. It makes me feel good to know that I can make a difference. My skills among myself range from my humor and sarcasm, to my amiability to listen to and guide others. My skills gave developed through my mental and physical tasks. I work to better my skills mentally, while physically, I also work to better my skills. As I continue to get better any way possible, I have goals that I hope to accomplish. First and foremost, I am looking to attend a university and graduate. While there I would like to play ice hockey for an NCAA program, but academics do come first. I hope to achieve the goal of finding what I love and pursing a career in such a field, that I live a happy life with my future family.
